Arson Case Studies
Detective Mike Pavero of the Metropolitan Police Department will discuss the extensive investigation of a 2015 murder/arson case in Washington, DC. The case has become known as the DC Mansion Murders and resulted in the 2019 conviction of the perpetrator.

Deputy Fire Marshal Dexter Hodges of the Office of the State Fire Marshal, will discuss a long-term federal arson investigation in Baltimore City. The investigation resulted in the conviction of three individuals, two of which were involved in a complex arson-for-profit scheme and a conspiracy to murder a witness and other offenses.

Lunch will be provided by MFEIA.

There is no cost for current MFEIA members to attend this training.
