Fire Death Scene Investigation
Conference speakers: Joe Konefal and Ed Nordskog – “Fire Death Scene Investigation”.
(All registrants will receive a copy of Joe and Ed’s Book)

Instructors:
Joe Konefal-
Joe is a retired Supervising Bomb Technician and Arson Investigator from the California CDF/SFM. He has conducted
over 800 fire and bomb investigations of every type and has testified dozens of times regarding his investigations over his 30+ year career. He is a long-time arson-bomb instructor for the IAAI, New Mexico Tech, CCAI, and Cal State POST. Joe was an instructor for several years at the Forensic Fire Death Investigation Course.

In 2019, Joe, along with co-author Ed Nordskog released a Field Guide for Fire Death
Scene Investigation.

Ed Nordskog-
Ed is a recently retired arson/bomb Detective from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s. He worked 21 years and 2,100 cases as an arson investigator. He specialized in Major Cases, Serial Arsonists, and Fire Death Scenes. He is an arson profiler and expert who has testified over 90 times on arson and fire death cases. He has written 5 books on arson, arsonists, serial arsonists, arson/bomb profiling and fire death investigations.

He is working as an author, instructor and consultant to prosecutors on major arson cases.
